DEACON HOOPMEN MEET YALE SOON

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With a record unmarred except for an 18 to 16 defeat at the hands of the Adams House Gold Coastors last Wednesday, the Kirkland House basketmen are due to face a Pierson College quintet from Yale next month, probably on March 8.

Don MeSweeney '41, Secretary of the House League, characterized the Deacon five as "consistent winners," and stated that "an aggressive passing attack combined with an unusually tight man-to-man defense gives Harvard the best chance of victory in three or four years."

An exceptionally balanced team, the Deacons are sparked by Bryan Smith, who starred last year, when Kirkland was downed by Jonathan Edwards, 29-22.
