Benchley Continues Family Dynasty of Poon Presidents

Robert C. Benchley, Jr. '43 of Scarsdale, New York and 45 Mount Auburn Street, was elected president of the Lampoon at a meeting last night, and will head the Board of Editors next year.

Benchley is the third of his family to hold the position of president, which was occupied by his father, the well known humorist Robert C. Benchley '12, and his brother, Nathaniel G. Benchley '38.

Other officers elected were: lbis, Oliver E. Allen of New York and Lowell House; Narthex, John L. Hoffman of Old Lynne, Connecticut and Lowell House; and Thomas J. Wood, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio and Dunster House; Secretary, Eric Larrabee; Treasurer, Robert B. Sherwood; Advertising Manager, Charles W. Mulcahy; Circulation Manager, John R. Friar; Assistant Business Manager, F. Barton Harvey. All are Juniors.
