"Music for the fun of it, with nobody listening," is the motto of the newest Yardling enterprise, an informal orchestra open to tooters and would be tooters, no matter how sweet or sour.
Brain-child of Hugh Calkins '45 and Daniel Gage '45, the outfit first met last Wednesday evening, with a total of 28 enthusiasts. The organization meeting will be held Friday night at a time to be announced, when all newcomers, especially violinists, are welcome.
"When we get going," Calkins confided yesterday, "we may be able to drop the nobody listening' stuff. The Crimson Network has already approached us, and we might play at the Christmas banquet and Freshman Amateur Night."
