Lowell' House's trackmen left the field yesterday afternoon with a slight edge over their nearest competitors, Eliot and Kirkland, in the first day of the inter-House track meet.
With the running events over, the Bellboys managed to pllo up a total of 33 points, to lead Eliot's Merrymen, with 27, and Kirkland, Deacons last year's champions, with 25 1/2.
Eberle Double Winner
High scorer was Jack Eberle of Kirkland, who took the 220 low hurdles and the 440 dash, for twelve of his Houses's 25 1/2 points. Joe Quattrone of the Bellboys, with a first in the high hurdles and a second in the low hurdles, had the second highest total, ton.
Dick Wing of Lowell took the mile in 5:6 and George Dana of Eliot won the hundred in 10.3. tomorrow the meet will conclude with the weight and jumping events.
