"Don't bother about the silk hat, but under no circumstances get caught with your baton down," is the advice to his corps of assistants of Paul M. Hollister '13, Marshal for Harvard Day at the World's Fair tomorrow.
In a letter instructing his aides how to act while on duty, Hollister says, "If you see any other marshals ask them what the hell this is all about, and they won't know either."
"You are really very luck getting a free baton and a free guide book," he concludes. "If an urchin says to you, 'Where did you get that stick, Mister?' reply, 'I, sir, am a Harvard man.' Then duck."
