Milton and Clark Fund Split to Defray Expenses of Forty Special Research Projects

Awards totalling $60,910 to fifty members of the University faculty and teaching staff to continue forty research projects in the Arts and Sciences were announced yesterday.

Under provisions of funds established by William F. Milton '58 and Joseph H. Clark '57, the grants are made to faculty members to defray expenses of special investigations.

The committee which made recommendations for the awards is headed by Frank B. Jewett, President of the Bell Telephone Laboratories; and consists of Simon Flexner, former director of the Laboratories of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research; and Dr. James Phinney Baxter, 3rd, President of Williams College.
