Toronto Clinches International Crown; Green Nearly Quad League Champion

Green Stickmen Top List After Win Over Crimson; Tiger Strongest Rival

With the title in the international division virtually clinched by Toronto, the American members of the International Intercollegiate lee Hockey League, forming the Quadrangular League, will get down to competition in earnest this week, when all four sextets will see action, two of them playing twice.

Dartmouth, champion for the last two years, currently is leading the group, having achieved the top with its 8-3 victory over Harvard last Saturday, second time this season the Indians have beaten the Crimson. The Green has been turned back only by Princeton, which will make its bid for the title during the next few days. It tied Yale Tuesday 1-1 at New Haven and meets Harvard Saturday here. Yale opened its "Quad" competition with the Tigers Tuesday, and it will also face Dartmouth at Hanover on Saturday.

Toronto Undefeated

Toronto scored its sixth straight triumph in the international division when it trounced its closest contender for the crown, McGill, 9 to 4, last Saturday. By its victory the Varsity practically assured itself of its first title since the league was formed four years ago. McGill won the crown the last three years and has dominated hockey for the last seven. Toronto has only two games left, with Harvard next week and with McGill again on March 1. If it wins one of the two, as is extremely likely, it can do no worse than tie, since McGill, now in second place, has won four and lost one.

Toronto's and the league's leading scorer Don Dunbar, played an important role in his team's victory and incroaned his lead in the race for individual scoring honors. He netted two goals and one assist to bring his total points to 23 in six games, holding a 6-point edge over Mol Williamson, of Queens.

The leading American scorer is Dartmouth's Dan Sullivan, who accounted for five of his team's eight goals against Harvard and now has a total of 11 points.
