Elections of Liberal Union officers for next year will take place tonight at 7:30 o'clock in the Eliot House Junior Common Room following an address by Roland A. Young, instructor in Government, on "Liberalism and Practical Politics."

Young will expound his views on the place of liberals in practical politics and the importance of liberals forming an independent third party or remaining with established political factions.

Discuss Policy

After a short question period and a discussion of the Union's policy toward aid for Britain, President Alan Gottlieb '41 will conduct the voting.

The Executive Council has nominated a slate of choices which will be supplemented from the boor. Selections for the presidency are William Hodson, Jr. '42 and Edward Ames '42. For vice-president the Council has approved Robert T. Fisher, Jr. '43 and Winslow T. Porter '42; while Andrew E. Rice '43 and Charles W. Young '44 have been nominated for secretary-treasurer.

Suggested as members-at-large to the Executive Council are Walter B. Neuberg, Jr. '43, Robert J. Donahue '44, Louis H. Pollak '44, and E. Randolph Biddle '44.

In addition to the officers, delegates will be chosen to attend the convention of the International Student Service to be held at the New Jersey State College for Women on December 27, 28, and 29.
