Three Christmasconcerts will be presentd in the university this week, on Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Memorial Church, and Thursday evening at the Germanic Museum.
The Memorial Church concerts will feature the Harvard University Choir and the Radcliffe Choral Society in a program of Christmas music, directed by G.W. Woodworth '24, professor of Music. Dean Willard L. Sperry will conduct the services, which will begin at 4:30 o'clock in the afternoon, and at 8:15 o'clock in the evening.
The program will feature music by Bach, Bodenseatz, and Brahms. Dr. Woodworth will play several selections on the organ, in addition to leading the choral ensemble. The "Hallelujah Chorus" from Handel's Messiah" will be the concluding number.
The boy choir of Christ Church, Cambridge, conducted by W. Judson Band Jr., organist and choirmaster, will present the Germanic Museum concert on Thursday evening, at 8 o'clock. They will perform works by Titcomb, Peerson, Praetorius, Saint-Sacus, and Randel.
