SIX ADDITIONS ARE MADE TO STAFF OF FACULTY

Jaeger, Bruening, Strawinsky, de Mises, Frost, and Brown Assume New Posts In University

Noted scholars and distinguished visitors have been added to the faculty of Arts and Sciences according to a University announcement issued over the weekend.

Among the new additions to the faculty will be many prominent foreigners including Werner W. Jaeger, professor of the Classics, and his compatriot, former Chancellor of Germany, Dr. Heinrich Bruening, who has been appointed a permanent professor in the Government Department.

Igor Strawinsky will give a series of lectures under the auspices of the Charles Eliot Norton Poetry Fund and Dr. Richard de Mises, director of the Institute of Mathematics, Istanbul University, will be with the Mathematics Department.

The literary world will be represented in Cambridge this year by Robert Frost dean of the American poets, and John Mason Brown, drama critic.
