The Winthrop hardball team beat the Eliot House nine 9-4 yesterday afternoon on the Soldiers Field diamond.

The Lowell nine trounced Leverett 7-4, in a game which was featured by loose fielding and frequent base stealing. Lowell's four runs in the first of the third, with two out won the ball game. Leading hitter was Joe Lyford of Lowell.

In softball, Eliot nosed out Kirkland, while in tennis the Elephants also won, beating Dunster 6-1. The Lowell racquetmen beat Adams 4-2.
