Four Inter-House Champions Meet Yale Winners Tomorrow

Four Crimson House taking will meet the champions of the Yale Inter-College competition tomorrow afternoon when Kirkland's crew and Winthrop's tennis team play host to Blue outfits while the Lowell baseball and golf teams journey to New Haven.

Exerting a minimum of effort to overcome their House rivals on the Charles Wednesday, the Deacon crew will try to repeat its triumph at the hands of the highly touted Berkeley eight, which has won its impressive string of victories by strong finishes which pulled it over the finish line ahead in each of its races.

Blue Nine Undecided

The Yale baseball team which will meet the Bellboys will be decided this afternoon in a playoff between Davenport and the Saybrook Seals, a game which ought to favor the visitors' chances by weakening the pitching staff of whichever Blue team wins. Lowell's star pitcher, Dick Storey, will himself probably be unable to complete the whole game, having worked for six innings on Wednesday, and will divide the duties with Wally Liverance.

The Lowell hitters, however, led by Joe Lyford and Mel Gordon, both of whom are batting with phenomenal averages, over .540, are the Bellboys' chief hope, along with their smoothly working infield.

Crane Leads Golfers

The crack Lowell golf team, which won its sixth straight victory yesterday from Eliot by default, will meet the Yale champions, Berkeley's Mitres, on the Elis' home course. Jack Crane, most consistent player on the Bellboy squad, will head the Crimson delegation in their invasion. Shooting in the vicinity of 80 in every match, Crane will play in the number one position.

Jonathan Edwards' tennis team will come here to meet the Puritans, who last week cinched their inter-House crown by beating the Adams team. The Spiders have gone through their entire season undefeated to gain the Yale Inter-House championship.
