CHAMPAIGN, III.--"Aw rats!" cried John Poppelreiter, University of Illinois Freshman, today as he read about all this goldfish gulping.
"I'll show 'cm," he vowed. And he did. He swallowed five baby white mice a la mode--with lettuce and mayonnaise.
"It was cinch," John said as he collected a $10 bet. "The tails ticked just a little, but after I got them down, they tasted just like steak."
