1. Transfer of graduate student instructors to status of "teaching fellows"; reduction of annual instructorships which any individual can hold to three; reduction of number of terms of faculty instructors from two to one; abolition of assistant professorships.

2. Clarification and written statements of conditions of advancement; adjustment of work to advancement criteria; enlarged organization of the office of the Dean of the Faculty; and the appointment of a Director of Placement.

3. Setting up of a "Dean's Fund" to provide for annual inter-departmental fluctuations, and of a "President's Fund" to provide for long term fluctuations; and the establishment of a "standing advisory Committee on the Budget."
