UNIVERSITY DENIES NAMING KEPPEL AS RUMOR CONTINUES

In a statement from the University yesterday, Dean of Freshmen Delmar Leighton denied that Francis Keppel '38 had been officially named to the Dean's staff for next year.

As was noted in yesterday's CRIMSON story, no University appointment is official until passed by the Corporation. Rumors continued yesterday to rate Keppel as the most likely candidate for the post to be vacated by Bowditch's resignation to become headmaster of the Park School, Indianapolis, Indians.
