SPAIN RALLY TONIGHT STARS LEWIS MUMFORD

Noted Sociologist, Rupert Emerson, to Speak at Meeting Directed Against Arms Embarge

At a rally tonight in Emerson D at 7:30 o'clock sponsored by the Student Union and the Cambridge Teachers Union in the interest of raising the arms embargo on Spain, Lewis Mumford, noted author, sociologist, and critic, and Report Emerson '31, associate professor of Government, will speak.

William Chambers '39, who recently flew to Washington with a petition urging the lifting of the embargo which was signed by 1300 Harvard students, will report on his conference with Marvin McIntyre, secretary to the President. He also conferred with Senior Gerald, P. Nye of North Dakota.

Mumberd is the author of "Teachers and Civilities" and more recently, "The Culture of the Cities."
