Injuries and scholastic difficulties have retarded the progress of Coach Al Dewey's Freshman hockey team so far this year, but the team which Dewey is taking up to tangle with Exeter has shown steady improvement in recent games.

Leading scorer and center, Demerist Lloyd, of Washington, D.C. was elected captain of the Yardlings before the game with the Boston University Cubs. He will lead the Yardlings into action against Exeter at 3 o'clock this afternoon.

Skip Stahley's Yardling basketball quintet squares off with the Andover-Newton Theological Seminary tonight at 8:15 o'clock in the Indoor Athletic Building.

The Crimson Freshmen suffered their only defeat of the year at the hands of the strong Boston University five before Christmas vacation. The game tonight is the last scheduled home game for the Stahleymen until the first week in March. They will journey successively to South Byfield against Dummer, to Andover against Andover, to Marion against Tabor, and to Hanover against Dartmouth.
