LACROSSE TEAM STRONG; PLANS HEAVY SCHEDULE

WILL BEGIN OUTDOOR PRACTICE WITH FAIR WEATHER

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Interest in lacrosse has grown suddenly this year with a squad so large that only about half will be able to go on the spring trip in April.

At present the team is practicing in Briggs Cage, but they will begin outdoor practice as soon as the weather permits. Right now it is difficult to estimate the team's strength on the basis of its indoor activity, however with a defense which is big, fast, and experienced, the prospects look fairly good.

The attack is strong with the two outstanding players. Captain Charlie Hammond and Doug Anderson, last year's Freshman and former Exeter captain.

Jess Willard with Bill Dowdy and Pete Zouch, one of the stars of last year's Freshman team, has moved to midfield, the present strength of which is still uncertain.

The Spring Vacation games which include Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Navy, will give the team its first test under heavy fire. On their later schedule is Boston University, Yale, Dartmouth, M. I. T., Tufts, and some others not yet arranged.
