Two Freshmen skating in the Yard last night set a new high in undergraduate ingenuity. The skaters, Munroe A. Winter '42 and Whitall N. Perry '42, both of Hollis Hall, taking advantage of the layer of ice left on the ground by the freak weather of Wednesday, glided between Gray's and Weld for over an hour and a half.
Winter and Perry are advocating the construction of a rink in front of Hollis Hall where water could be easily gotten from the pump. Skating not only for pleasure, they were also demonstrating the possibilities of their idea.
Last night Perry remarked, "We have not yet decided whether to approach college authorities on the subject, for we are at present investigating the feasibility of our plan".
