FIRE EATER TELLS SEVERAL SECRETS ABOUT HIS TRADE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"Fire Eating has been my specialty for a long time, ever since I first tried it in a high school show," Reed B. Dawson '41 declared yesterday.

Dawson's specialty is setting fire to his hands and setting it creep slowly up his arms. "It really only tickles although most people think that you are burning to death."

"Fire swallowing is an art that takes lots of practice but it is not particularly dangerous. I do it all with chemicals and it in just like breathing in warm air. Many believe that you have to have a cast iron mouth and throat for this kind of thing, but surprisingly enough I cannot even put a lighted match in my mouth without its burning the roof of my mouth."

When he gets some more chemicals, Dawson has an idea that he will put on an exhibition in the Kirkland House Common Room.
