"Harvard men are suave and gentlemanly under all circumstances," comely Uta Hagen, starring opposite Paul Muni in "Key Largo," stated yesterday. "I love them as much as I can after having married a Princeton man."

One of last year's three most highly acclaimed ingenues, along with Frances Farmer and Julie Haydon, Miss Hagen was unknown three years ago. Her first real break was playing, the title part in "The Seagull" with the Lunts, and since then her rise in the dramatic world has gained wide attention.

Although delighted with the historical aspect of Boston and Cambridge, Miss Hagen finds night-life here lacking in variety and excellence, as well as liveliness.

Pressed for more opinions concerning Harvard, Miss Hagen glowed in her description of its Georgian architecture and extensive grounds, but commented on the characteristic restraint exercised by Harvard audiences.

Miss Hagen said that she considers "Key Largo" Maxwell Anderson's best play to date.
