Lampy's literary standards fell to a new low Saturday with the publication of a story which had previously been handed in as an English A-1 theme and returned with a grade of E.
Entitled "U-Boat", the story was signed "HRH," which is believed to be a nom de plume for Rumpot Du Beele '40, Ibis on the Mt. Auburn Street almanac. Robeson Bailey '29, English instructor who graded the paper, is an ex-president of the Advocate.
One of the many punch lines in the rambling fantasy was as follows: "Naw, honest. I swear! I even saw their numbers and conning towers with 'U' on them."
