House Crews Row Daily Preparing For Annual Race

Although other House sports have been called off this week in favor of Divisionals, about a dozen intramural crews take to the river daily in preparation for the annual House regatta scheduled for next Wednesday

Kirkland, last year's champion has a good chance to repeat. Whitney Howland is stroking the first boat, with Ben Kirkland (no relation)at seven, Larry Arnold at six, Lucien Wulsin at five, Fred Armstrong at four, Brainard at 3, Bob Tilney at 2, Jack Tynan in the bow, and Bill Kemp as Cox.

Emerson Eliot Stroke

David Emerson is stroking the Elephant eight, one of the strongest threats to the Deacon's crown. At seven is Arthur Hadden. Walter Klein is rowing six, George Fox five, Crosby Keller four, Arnold Cook three, John Lloyd two, and Edward Walkley is in the lighthouse seat. Bob Proctor is coxing.

The Rabbitt crew, shifting constantly, lines up at present with Harry Hollmeyer at stroke, Bob Coquillette at seven, Hunt Hamill at six, Dan O'Reilly at five, John A. Rumsey at four, Huge Williams at three, Schuyler Pardee at two, Roger Duncan at one, and Frank Farley cox.

Winthrop's crew, stroked by Dave Shepard, lists Dave Stiles at seven, Bill Rechier at six, Pierce Butler at five, Lyman Burbank at four, Leo Randol at three, Bill Fletcher at two, Eric Clark at one, and Berb Barrett cox.

With Pete Scott at stroke, the Bellboys have Ronny Boyd at cox, Bob Kernan at seven, Bob Hagerty at six, Malcolm Pirnie at five, Sam White at four, Donald Todd at three, Hughes Call at two, and John Meigs in the bow.
