Lightweight Wrestler Harvey Ross Selected Mat Captain

New Leader Probable Entry at Lehigh Nationals This Weekend

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Lightweight grappler Harvey M. Ross '38, of Kirkland House and Milton was elected captain of next year's wrestling team by the Varsity lettermen in Dillon Field House yesterday.

With the exception of John Harkness, Ross has been the outstanding matman, losing only to Aliman, blind demon from Penn, and to undefeated Zen Mallon of Yale. He scored notable triumphs at Princeton, Navy, and Penn State.

Ross will probably go to Lehigh to compete in the national championship bouts over the weekend along with Captain John Harkness in the 175-pound division, Bill Danghaday in the 165-pound, and Louis Ach in the 126-pound class.
