Marking the opening of a new program of co-operation between University faculty and alumni, a symposium entitled "The Impact of Science on Everyday Life" will be presented under the leadership of President Conant at the Harvard Club of New York on March 11.

Three University faculty men will speak at the meeting: W. Pierce '01, Rumford Professor of Communication Engineering; Harlow Shapely, Paine Professor of Practical Astronomy; and Dean Wallace B. Donham '98, Dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration.

Although individual members of the ministration, faculty have addressed alumni on numerous occasions, this is the first time that a program of combined lectures of this type has been attempted.
