Swinging into the Middle West for a series of talks, President Conant will make several addresses in Cleveland, Cincinnati and Minneapolis next week.
Highlight of the trip will be the first Regional Harvard Club meetings in Cincinnati on Tuesday, where 13 Harvard Clubs from five mid-western states will join with the Cincinnati group in honoring the President.
The purpose of this meeting is so that Conant can address members of Harvard Clubs he would otherwise be unable to visit, and it is hoped that this will be the start of triennial Regional gatherings.
A stop in Cleveland to attend a dinner there on Monday will feature the trip; and after leaving Cincinnati the President goes on to Minneapolis to address the Harvard Club there and also talk before a convocation at the University of Minnesota.
Meanwhile, David M. Little, Secretary to the University, will be out west next week attending the Cincinnati meeting with Conant and speaking at St. Louis, Milwaukee and Chicago.
