Out of 272 vocalists who tried out for the Glee Club this autumn, an all-time high of 252 men succeeded in passing with a grade of 70 or higher, it was announced yesterday.

G. Wallace Woodworth '24, Director of the Glee Club pointed out that where as a grade of 76 or higher in the trials, which used to insure a place in most of the small concerts, was achieved by less than 100 men last year, there are now 131 on the exclusive list.

On Friday and Saturday, December 2 and 3, the Glee Club will sing Beethoven's "Missa Solemnis" with the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Koussevitzky. This is a repetition of last year's concert which was unsuccessfully recorded; the recording will again be attempted this year.

Other concerts scheduled for early spring include one with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, with Mile. Nadia Boulanger directing on March 6; the Glee Club will sing Stravinsky's "Oedipus Rex," conducted by Stravinsky himself, with the Boston Symphony Orchestra on March 24 and 25.
