The life of a newspaper reporter has its ups and downs. Yesterday a Boston reporter who, the night before had written an article which incensed its subject, Granville Hicks, knocked at the door of the much publicized resident of Adams House and walked in. Inside were Mr. Hicks and three burly, unidentified companions.
No sooner had the reporter entered he room than he was informed by one of the Hicks associated that he was not welcome. At a sign of protest, the three grabbed him by the shoulders and the sent of his pants, respectively, and neatly dispatched him onto the hall floor in a heap, shamming the door behind.
