Shattering all knows records, Robert K. Rogers, Lowell House Senior, devoured a total of 24 ice creams to completely surpass the former records set by Messrs. David "Kentucky" Mitchell and Homer Peabody, of the Freshman class.
Rogers, whose feat was performed last work, but whose modestly has kept reports of his prowess from the headlines, said that he alternated four vanillas and 19 chocolates with one sundae to achieve the record, five above the previous mark of 19, last held by Peabody. Rogers declared that he won "a couple of dollars, but I haven't collected it yet."
Questioned last night, Peabody said he was unwilling to attempt to reclaims the championship, saying "the basketball coach didn't like it no much after last time."
Indifference was Rogers altitude, though. "It didn't bother me at all," be said. "I just sat down to a good night's study."
