GEORGIA STUDENTS UNDERGO 100-HOUR "NO SLEEP" TEST

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

University of Georgia students entered their fourth 24-hour period without sleep today--all in the interest of psychology.

Dr. A. S. Edwards, head of the Psychological Department which is conducting a 100 hour "no sleep" test to determine the effect on mind and body, said only the eyes of the subjects have shown any noticeable strain.

Three girls and two boys are undergoing the test. The 100 hours will end Saturday noon. Edwards said that the test would yield data on reactions from loss of sleep to the sense of direction, behavior, sight, hearing, and assimilation of food.
