With the prospect of two years field work in the desert plateau of central Persia, Bennett F. Buie, proctor in Wigglesworth and Geology 1 section man, will sail from Now York this morning on an expedition sent out by the American Oil Company.

The expedition of four men intends to survey for oil the whole of Afghanistan and 180-000, square miles of territory in Iran. The equipment includes a portable bathtub and palm beach suits for evening wear in camp. The region is practically unknown geographically.
