In his first appearance on the mound for the Yardlings this season, Tom Healey, Freshman football captain, turned in a six hit performance yesterday, as the Lawrence Academy nine bowed 9 to 2 to the Crimson at Groton.

After allowing the opposition two runs in the first inning and another score in the second, Healey settled down, holding the enemy scoreless in the last seven frames. The Lawrence pitcher, Goldsmith, was pounded for 11 hits, while his teammates were making five errors.

Scoring three times in their first time at bat, the Yardlings took an early lead and were never headed.
