Governor Cross Will Preside at Simple Ceremony

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yale University will formally install its fifteenth president, Charles Seymour, on Friday, October 8, it was announced recently.

Wilbur L. Cross, Yale '85, Governor of Connecticut ex-officio member of the Yale Corporation, will set as Presiding Fellow and will hand to the new President the traditional symbols of office.

Professor Seymour has requested that the ceremonies be simple and brief, and as much like these in connection with the installing of the first presidents.

The induction will take place in Battell Chapel, where President Hadley was installed in 1889 and president Angell in 1921.
