Due to illness, Dr. Ortega y. Gassett, well known political philosopher and Professor of Philosophy and Literature at the University of Madrid in Spain, will be unable to give the annual public Godkin lectures at Harvard next month. Word to this effect has been received by the University from Dr. Gasset, who has been living in France since the outbreak of the Spanish civil war. It is expected that no substitute lecturer will be named to take his place.
