Appointees to the Smoker and Jubilee committees were announced last night by James D. Lightbody, Jr., President of the Freshman Class. The dates for these affairs have not been set as yet, but the former will take place late in April and the latter toward the end of May.
With John F. Kennedy acting as chairman, the Smoker Committee will consist of William C. Coleman, Jr., William A. Cordingly, Jr., Roderick S. G. Hall, Raymond F. McPherson, Terbert H. MacDonald, and Phil C. Neal. The committee will hold an organization meeting at 2:30 o'clock in Phillips Brooks House today.
Jubilee Committee
The major Freshman social activity of the year will be run by Peter E. Pratt, Chairman, with a supporting body composed as follows: Patronesses and Ushers, Hamilton H. Wood; Head Usher, Bartow Kelley; Advertising and Finance, Walter H. Ridder; Refreshment Committee, Edmund S. Childs, Jr., John B. Lloyd; Orchestra, George O. Clark, Jr., Mason Fernald, Vinton Freedley, Jr., George S. Olive, Jr.; also Paul H. Bowdle, Frederick Holdsworth, Jr., Lloyd Mills, Jr., and Richard E. Webster, Jr.
The Jubilee Committee will meet at 6:15 o'clock in the Upper Common Room of the Harvard Union this evening. Those who have been appointed are requested to note the hour and place of their respective meetings
