Avenging their defeat by the Freshman in the New England three weapon championship two weeks ago the Varsity swordmen trimmed the Yardlings yesterday afternoon 19 to 8.

In the sabre, Edward S. Skinnor '39 captured all three of his matches to lead the Varsity in points. For the Freshmen, Captain Cranston E. Jones '40 won two foil encounters, including a close match with the ace Varsity Foilsman, William F. Gerber '38, 5 to 3. Crimson Captain Edward O. Miller '37 was only defeated once to place second in the scoring for the victors.

Saturday the Varsity will compete in the all-important Pentagonal Meet at New Haven with Yale, Princeton, Army and Navy. To date Coach Rane Proy's fencers have won two matches and lost one.
