EIGHT MEN WIN $2,150 OF SCHOLARSHIP MONEY

Turner, McFadden, Fales, Willcox, Hagen, R. Farwell, G. Farwell, and Burwell Awarded Stipends

Eight Pennoyer, Lowell, Whitaker and Harvard Buffalo Club scholarships totalling $2,150 have been awarded to members of all four classes, it was announced yesterday.

Richard B. Turner '38, of New Haven, Connecticut, William A. McFadden '39, of Rahway, New Jersey receive the Pennoyer scholarships, established in 1670.

DeCoursey Fales, Jr. '41, of Gladstone, New Jersey and Westmore Willcox 3rd, of New York, win the George Emerson Lowell stipends, awarded to Freshmen on the basis of a competitive examination held under the auspices of the Department of Classics.

The Edwards Whitaker scholarships go to Raymond F. Farwell, Jr. '40 and George W. Farwell '41, both of Seattle, Washington and Clarence Hagen '39, of Marysville, Washington.

Edward L. Burwell '41, of Buffalo. New York has been awarded the Harvard Club of Buffalo scholarship.
