For the twenty-sixth year, Charles Townsend Copeland '82, Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory, emeritus, will give his Christmas reading for the Freshmen on Wednesday, December 15, following the Christmas dinner in the Union.
Last year the reading had to be postponed until February, and was held in the President's house, but this year it is planned to take place in the Upper Common Room of the Union, as usual.
Copey's readings often contain a generous amount of humor, and have come to be a traditional event of the Freshman year. He hopes to be able to continue the annual readings until he has passed the century mark.
