"FREEDOM OF PRESS" URGED BY 250 STRIKING STUDENTS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Raising the cry of "Freedom of the Press," 250 students were striking yesterday from the Chester, Pennsylvania High School as the result of the expulsion of John Gilman, editor of a school pamphlet.

The strikers claimed that Gilman was forced out because of an editorial attacking the School Board for overcrowded conditions.

Students participating will be counted absent or treated as truants.
