Official reviews in all possible elementary courses will be given under the auspices of the Union Committee, in preparation for final examinations this June, it was learned yesterday from Douglas Mercer '40, Chairman of the Freshman group.
Coincidental with this news, it was also announced that one elementary course at least--Biology D--will hold a review of the term's work this Sunday evening in Emerson D at 8 o'clock. George W. Beadle, assistant professor of Genetics, and Luzern G. Livingston, instructor in Biology, will conduct the session which will be devoted principally to the answering of questions of men in the course.
The Union Committee plans to discuss with the members of the Faculty concerned in the elementary courses the best methods of conducting the reviews, and a complete program will be arranged, long enough in advance, so that instructors will have time to prepare the synopses adequately.
In some of the large elementary courses, such as History 1 and English 1, reviews were included for the mid-years as part of the regular course work, and will be given later in the week.
