TRACK TEAM TO ENTER MEN IN MILLROSE MEET

TEAM HAS NOT COMPETED FOR LAST THREE YEARS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Harvard will be represented in the Millrose Track Meet with a relay team for the first time in the history of the game. Bill Schmidt will also compete in the meet, taking part in the 60-yard hurdles.

Midyear Trouble

In the past there has been considerable difficulty in entering the meet because of the clash of the midyears and the date of the track meet, Saturday, February 6. For that reason Harvard has not had any runners in the meet for the past three or four years.

This year, however, the track team has been practicing pretty steadily during the reading and examination periods, and it is expected that the runners will be in good shape for their races.

Yale, Princeton Opponents

Yale and Princeton teams will form the other two-thirds of the tri-cornered relay race in which Harvard is to run.

In the past Harvard athletes competed in the meet often, and among the runners who have raced at New York is Bill Bingham.

Bill Schmidt in the hurdle will be up against some of the toughest competition that he has yet to face. Among them will be Sam Allen, the Southerner who shone on the Olympic team, it is expected.
