Statement by Conant

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In his statement, Mr. Conant emphasized than, "while it was impracticable to publish in the press a complete list of the subscribers numbering nearly nine thousand, the smaller contributions were deemed by the University of no less importance than those of larger amounts."

Mr. Conant expressed gratification at this support of the University and its new projects and pointed out "that subscriptions are still coming in for the Three Hundredth Anniversary Fund and will undoubtedly continue to come in during the coming year." He stated that he would make a further report on the Three Hundredth Anniversary Fund on Commencement Day in June, 1937.
