Honorable Mention Granted to Helm in Music Competition

Award of the Francis Boott Prize in Musical Composition has been made to Ernest R. Spinney '36, of Hudson. The prize, consisting of $100, win established by Boott, of the Class of 1831, to be given to the writer of the best composition "in the manner Mozart or Cherubini."

Honorable mention was given to Everett B. Helm 2G., of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Both men chose for their composition the setting of the "Sanctus".

On the title page of each composition must be an assumed name, and the applicant must seal a letter superscribed with the assumed name and containing the true name. Furthermore, the piece is written as a chorus, perferably for four voices, and may be in Latin or in English.
