New Haven, April 15--Amid a bursting of firecrackers and loud cheering, the Yale Chapter of the Veterans of Future Wars was formed here tonight.
Led by Yale Post Commander Theodore Woolsey, some 300 yets marched on the Political Union House, which was in the midst of a debate on the Hauptmann trial, and demanded that the Union pass the bonus payable in 1965.
The appearance of a small company of the ROTC armed with wooden guns and helmets gave promise that the meeting would assume the proportions of a small riot. Lady guests at the Union were requested to keep their seats, as loud orators on both sides thundered forth in the darkness.
