George S. Ford, of Belmont, won the John Tuder Memorial Cup and Richard M. Claflin '36, of Brookline, was awarded the Angier Hockey Trophy according to an announcement made last night at the annual dinner of the varsity hockey squad at the Hotel Manager.

The Tudor Cup, given by three classmates of John Tudor '29, is awarded annually to "the player who is of the greatest value to Harvard hockey, not so much because of his ability but because of his heart." The recipient of the trophy is supposed to be the player who best exemplifies John Tudor's qualities. Ford, captain elect of the 1937 squad, was center on last year's squad, and has been on the varsity football team.

"Greatest Improvement"

The Angler Hockey trophy goes to the player showing the "greatest general improvement during the year," and this is the fifth time it has been awarded since Donald Angier '22 presented it. Claflin, on the freshman and jayvees squads, was a defenseman on this year's championship five.

Each of these awards are permanent trophies, and replicas are given to the players to whom the award is made.
