Behind the locked doors of the swimming pool, Freshman swimmers who did not receive numerals will have a chance to show their latent talent this afternoon at 4.30 o'clock in the annual championships. Six events will be held for the bashful mermen.
Competition will be held in the 50, 100, and 200-yard free style swims, the 100-yard backstroke, the 100-yard breast-stroke, and the 150-yard medley races. There are already more than 30 entries, and all other Yardlings who desire to take part and have not won their numerals may do so by coming to the pool before meet time.
The first three to cross the line in each event will be awarded medals suitably inscribed.
Although it was held at this time last year, the Class Diving Championships will be postponed until a later date. Competitors in this event try for a silver trophy which was won last year by Robert H. Chase '38.
