A competition for 1936 Class Day Ivy Orator, open to anyone in the Senior Class, will be held from April 20 to 25, it was decided at a meeting of the Class Day Committee held yesterday afternoon.
Breaking the precedent of former years, when the Ivy Orator was elected by popular vote along with other class officers, the new system will offer a chance for anyone with ability to gain the post.
The judges for the competition will be the three Class Marshals and the Class Day Committee. Trial orations should be ten minutes in length, and will be judged both on the basis of material and delivery.
