HASTY PUDDING HOLDS TRIALS FOR PLAY TODAY

SEVERAL OF LAST YEAR'S ACTORS EXPECTED TO RETURN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Tryouts for this year's presentation of the Hasty Pudding Club annual show will be held in the club house this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The play, entitled "The Lid's Off," has been written by Arnett McKennan '37, Sturgis Warner '37, and Robert Terrall '36.

Several performers from last year's show are expected to return and form a nucleus of talent for the 1936 production. Among them are McKennan, who is president of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals; Gasper G. Boston '37; and William M. Hunt '36. The latter played the comedy part of Dean Bounce in last year's production, "The Foeman of the Yard." As yet no date has been set for the presentation.

Arthur Hurley, the New York director, arrived yesterday to take charge of the show. Mr. Hurley is well known for his previous productions, of which "The Desert Song," "Anna Christle," and "The Fire Brand" were most successful.
