UNIVERSITY HANDICAP MEET FRIDAY, SATURDAY

FRESHMAN CINDERMEN WILL HAVE CHANGE TO SHOW STRENGTH

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Members of graduate schools as well as the College will participate in the University Handicap Track Meet in the cage Friday and Saturday afternoon.

Besides giving some of his Varsity men an opportunity for competitive work, Coach Jaakko Mikkola will get a definite line on his Freshman material.

On Friday, finals in the 300 and 3/4 mile runs will be held along with the high jump, broad jump and 35 pound weight.

Finals in the 50 yard dash, high hurdles, one and a half mile run, 600 yard run, pole vault, and shot put will take place on Saturday.

Since the B. A. A. meet also falls on Saturday, Captain Milt Green, Bob Hall, and Al Barcewicz will not be entered in the handicap meet. Emile Dubiel, star pole vaulter, is out with a bad ankle.

One of the closest contests of the handicap meet is expected to be between Steve Brennan and Norman Cahners. Nothing definite is known of the strength in the dashes and broad jump.
