Local winter sports conditions have suffered during the past week, but a forecast from Old Man Winter of the Boston Transcript, for Vermont and New Hampshire, of colder weather, possibly with snow today, means that conditions up North will be fair.

Latest reports from Franconia Notch show that the snow has been extremely wet the past two days, but fresh southwesterly winds are now making the surface into corn snow which should make for faster times.
